Customers can ABSOLUTELY FIX this PROBLEM ---- But, WILL THEY?? I personally don't stand in line in stores, walmart or any store. I refuse to do this. Do you?
If ALL customers would simply leave shopping carts full of the items they INTENDED to purchase in the check out lane and EXPLAIN to the manager (ESSENTIALLY) as they leave the store, when MORE than 8 people are in line in front of them, and ONLY 3 registers are open, (THEY REFUSE TO STAND IN LONG CHECK OUT LINES) it would occur to management (Possibly in ONLY ONE DAY) --- that paying someone to operate another register costs the store about the same as paying someone to return the products left in shopping carts because of long understaffed check out lanes, back to the shelf.
HOWEVER, there are problems, especially at check out!!
Nearly every Walmart I encounter has a good selection of products and prices are very often less than competing stores.
THE POINT I WANT TO MAKE, --- IS THIS PROBLEM (long check out lanes) COULD BE FIXED, IF CUSTOMER'S DEMANDED FOR IT TO BE FIXED!!!
Great way to spend those days in summer when the temperature is above 85 and nights are 78 or higher ....turn your thermostat to 85 and stay cool and don't forget Winter is even better as you can do the same with the thermostat set at45 while you stay nice and warm on Walleys dime..Bring the kids and come on down you can let the small ones run wild in the spacious toy area.This place is great.
One method (hey management, hint) allows the store to TAKE IN MONEY, but the other method REQUIRES the store to spend money (hey management, hint again, its the restocking that requires you to spend money, SIMPLY, pay an employee) and LOOSE money (NO SALE). I am not sure you know this, so hint.
Slow checkout lanes.... great selection of products. Associates are always willing to help with whatever you may need.

Great parking, well stocked and easy to find what you are shopping for in store. The worst check out I've ever experienced! There's only one check out lane so I've had to leave my buggy and go somewhere else to shop; the prices were higher however wait to check out was fabulous!! So if willing to hire more cashier's to get people in and out of the store at a descent wait time I'll continue to shop Walmart if not I can pay extra at other stores.
